Compliments can mean so much. I've noticed that they are the sort of things that seem to stick in one’s mind. Knowing something is good for you doesn't always translate into action. Compliments are a simple, yet powerful, relationship building tool. There are many different reasons to give a compliment. The most compelling - it makes you feel good. If your friends consider you to be an ass kisser because you have kind words for them, then they are pretty extremely negative people and you'd be a lot better off with other friends. The fact is, everyone but the most cynical and mistrustful likes to hear a compliment. Its human nature, isn’t it? I encourage you to make compliment giving a habit - a compliment habit. Compliments, like criticisms, are essentially evaluations. "Your cricket playing has really improved" is, among other things, an attempt by the person to place themselves as someone whose opinion about your cricketing ability might matter. The whole point in writing this article was to compliment one of my rare friend’s brilliant poetry work which was complied and preserved as a souvenir in my so called rough book “The mysteries of scoring 40’s” .The phrasing goes like this:)

Phoolon ki hifazat toh kaate hi karte hain,

Par phoolon ko to bhavre hi bhaate hain,


Are woh kaata hi to hai jo jeevan bhar saath nibata hai,

Jo phool ke saath paida aur phool ke saath fanah ho jaata hai,


Bhavron ka kya hai, ek phool ka maja le dusre pe jaate hai,

Are dukh isi baat ka hai ki phool kaaton ko dost,

Aur bhavron ko apna humsafar mante hai,


Kaate ko kaata na samjho uska bhi dil hai,

Isliye to phool phool par kaata maujud hai.
